Living in Texas can be extremely unpredictable sometimes. Well, actually, all the time. The weather has a mind of it’s own, so dressing for any occasion can be really difficult and frustrating. A skill that I have acquired over my years here is the art of layering. The great thing about layering is that you can adapt your outfit to almost any type of weather that nature throws your way.
This Fashionista did just that. The weather lately has been extremely chilly in the morning and sun comes out to shine more and more throughout the day. This Fashionista’s ensemble is perfect for those awkward spring days, because she has multiple layers. Her patterned vest paired along with her knit dress are perfect for the chilly mornings where she’s still warm and cozy. The transparent black tights add a bit of edge to the outfit especially with the rips that add a sense of grunge. However, they aren’t too suffocating when the temperatures start to rise. Lots of layers and lots of accessories add a bit of character to the look, making it really interesting and eye-catching. On her fingers, she has a wide assortment of rings that add bit of depth and intrigue. She is also rocking a staple that every Fashionista needs to have in their closet: black booties. They can go with any outfit, and as you can see here, any season. They are the perfect amount of neutral and edge and can pretty much complete any ensemble. To finish off any outfit, every Fashionista needs a pair of solid pair of sunnies. These circular ones sported by this Fashionista have been all the rage recently and will continue to be so. Black is a great neutral color that can turn your outfit chic, edgy, or classic.
Take my advice and this Fashionista’s for inspiration when you are struggling with dressing for the weather: layers is the way to go!
