STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Winter Whites

There is something about wearing all white that we can’t seem to get enough of this winter. Is it the fact that it’s breaking the fashion laws of winter? Or is it the mere chicness of the monochromatic look in freezing temperatures? Whatever it may be, this Fashionista looks flawless and there are certainly no laws against that.

She is wearing a pair of white skinny jeans cuffed up above her beige booties. It’s the middle of winter and this Fashionista looks amazing in her white jeans—that’s impressive. She also has on a cream-colored knit sweater with a giant scarf wrapped around her. If you haven’t tried it already, adding these warm layers is a great way to add depth to any outfit.

The key to this Fashionista’s look is that instead of trying to match her tones perfectly together, she stays within the white and neutral family in the whole ensemble. This color scheme creates a look that feels so chic but so comfy all at the same time. And let’s be honest, don’t we all want that when getting dressed for class?

If you’re still stuck living by the “no white after Labor Day” rule, welcome to 2015. All-white ensembles have been everywhere this winter, from street style to walking the runways. There is definitely a soft femininity about whites, but when set against the black, gray and overall darkness of winter wardrobes, these light looks jump out at us and are insanely striking.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Take a risk. Break a rule. Even if it’s just for one night, those that step out of their comfort zones and wear something different are the ones we end up following.”
