In the world of fashion it’s often said that many trends return to make a comeback. Back in the ’80s denim skirts were a hit and they seem to be making an appearance again as of this spring. This particular one featured is a white denim mini skirt, which makes it more of today’s style rather than vintage in my opinion. It does however have the brass buttons straight down the center just as they did several decades ago. It’s always interesting to see the different and creative ways people are pulling off this look.

One thing that’s great about this trend is that it’s so easy to dress the denim skirt up or down. I would describe this look as more casual and bohemian since it’s being paired with a loose crop top. This top shows just a little bit of skin and has lace detail on the sides that coordinates well with the texture of the denim skirt. I love how this Fashionista rocked the all white look, which is both classy and bold. This retro garment sure is making its way up to being an everyday piece.

Along with the denim skirt being in style again, I also wanted to just quickly point out the choker necklace trend making a similar comeback as well. The choker being worn in this look is gold with some beading, making it more elegant rather than edgy. Complementing this all-white outfit is a pair of brown sandals with a short, chunky heel, keeping things simple. The bohemian bangles and Rebecca Minkoff fringe purse really top off this perfect summer outfit.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “During the summer I always want to stay cool in the heat but look cute as well, which is sometimes difficult. Wearing all white seemed to be the best choice of color and the denim skirt is easy to throw on and switch from a day to night look.”
