STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Weathering Through

First off, Mississippi Fashionistas know that today’s weather is not always parallel to tomorrow’s weather. A girl has to go with the temperature.

Dressing for semi-cold weather can be really fun with the right pieces and style. In this look, this Fashionista makes a simple knit top with boots look very chic. This look is very flattering for any Fashionista.

The trend that this Fashionista is portraying strongly is the Heather pattern. This is a popular trend with us Southern ladies. I’ve seen these particular tops being worn during three out of the four seasons. I particularly love it. In my opinion, it is best worn during fall and winter.

This top can be worn to the Grove here at Ole Miss or to work paired with your favorite pencil skirt for a casual look. In this look, this Fashionista layers her top with dark washed jeans and it’s perfect. I believe in any jean that gives your body great shape and you can never go wrong with jeans in any weather.

Her feather charm necklace and gorgeous red lip keeps the look very feminine but still sultry. As always the perfect accessory in a look is confidence. So whatever you dig out of your closet this winter, make sure you love you in it.

Betsey Johnson once said, “Girls do not dress for boys. They dress for themselves and, of course, each other. If girls dressed for boys they’d just walk around naked at all times.”

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Always do what your wardrobe and the weather allows you to do. Nothing more or less.”
