As college slowly draws to a close for some of us, it is time for us to try that thing called “adulting” (whether we like it or not). Growing up brings with it a mass overload of responsibilities, even though most of us are still trying to figure out what we want in life. In the busy whirlwind that is life, sometimes deciding on an outfit is the last thing we have time for. Making it to interviews and meetings on time is a feat in and of itself, let alone finding the time to put together the perfect look. Enter the twosie.

The twosie is the perfect love child between a onesie and a two-piece outfit. It gives the illusion of a put together dress, with the chic feature of two separate pieces. This Fashionista is rocking the perfect two-piece set. At first glance, it appears she is wearing a dress, but when looking closer. you see the hint of flair and edge with the ensemble being two separate items. Her skirt provides a delicate overlay and slight asymmetrical hemline to prevent it from looking too one-note. The pop of gold in her pendent necklace also helps break up the pieces.

Taking after this Fashionista, we can find a solution for dressing in the increasingly busy lifestyles we lead. Two-pieces are funny that way; they give off the impression of wearing a well thought outfit, when really they are so simple. There is no need to pair a top with a bottom because it is already done for you. We can quickly throw on any polished two-piece, add a pendant necklace and strappy heels for flair, and we’re set for the busy day of being an adult!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Never be afraid of two-pieces. They’re so simple to put together, but look actually like you worked really hard!”
