STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: The Minimalist Guide for Chic Essentials

Lately I have been in love with the simple things and keeping everything well, plain. I recently decided I wanted nothing but nudes, neutrals and blushes for my closets color scheme. As I am slowly achieving this goal, I have seen the perfect example of this color scheme and minimalist aesthetic strolling across campus.

This Fashionista keeps it simple with a pop of blush. She pairs together a black turtleneck with slim, straight-legged, black pants for the perfect minimalist outfit, adding in little beige booties while staying in the minimalistic color scheme. The finishing touch of the outfit has to be by far the over-sized waterfall duster coat. These coats have been making a trend over the season and are definitely a cute way to stay warm. The blush pink on this Fashionista sets her apart from the basic color palette a minimalist would go for and brings contrast with the two colors. The Fashionista achieves the aesthetic I have been working on myself perfectly, and that’s what caught my eye.

Keeping a minimalistic aesthetic could be hard, especially for someone like me who loves everything but it is all about getting back to the basics. Think basic colors and items with a trendy look. Like I said before, I love neutrals, nudes and blushes for my own aesthetic. Some must-have minimalist items you should think about getting this season are an over-sized waterfall duster coat, some cute neutral color booties, more basic T-shirts, some neutral and blush colored sweaters and a pair of black jeans.
