With the summer heat in full swing it is important to find simple, lightweight pieces that can create both a casual and dressy outfit. This Fashionista showed her fabulous sense of style by sticking with a simple color scheme. The black of both the skirt and crop top complemented each other while the floral pattern added an interesting element to catch one’s eye. I love that she added simple jewelry to maintain a casual, summer feel but still dress the outfit up for nighttime. The skirt was perfect for day and night because it was lightweight, but it’s also a little sexy because it was sheer. Although the whole outfit was amazing as a whole, the crop top was definitely a game changer.
The Fashionista could have chosen any color of crop top from plain black to hot pink. By choosing black with a pattern she created a simple line of color for the ensemble. Pairing a black top and bottom together creates a tall and slim look…(hello the whole idea of a little black dress!). Then, having a bright floral pattern on the crop top added a fun and exciting twist giving the outfit a bohemian feel. The Fashionista stayed on trend with the look because of the minimalism of the colors and silhouettes and the bohemian vibe of the florals.
