STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Stay Simple Yet Trendy

Welcome back, this week I’m going to give you some sweet advice on this killer outfit. On the go? No time to do your hair and pick out the perfect outfit? Don’t want to over do it? You’re in luck, this Fashionista has the formula for traveling in perfect style.

Let’s start with the glamorous cardigan. The many fringes creates the perfect balance of cozy and couture. Fringe on anything is a hot trend for the upcoming months and this Fashionista is giving it a casual-wear revival.

The rest of her look consists of a loose top and black pants to create the perfect base layer for a statement piece. The best outfits are oftentimes the ones that require the least amount of effort. With an outfit like this, she’ll be ready to take on the world as she steps out the door.

The accessories are a great touch to the outfit as well. The booties almost blend in with the Fashionista’s clothing but provides another layer for a windy climate. Booties are a versatile piece and help create a mood depending on their shape. Wearing booties can either offer laid-back vibes or really chic vibes and I thought the color of this Fashionista’s shoes worked so well with the outfit.

This Fashionista’s hat is the cherry on top and balances out the appearance of the cardigan. Hats are a Fashionista/o’s best friend on a windy day especially if you are in a hurry to get ready. Its nude-beige color makes it more polished than Indiana Jones-esque and adds just enough drama. Add a hat to your look when you’re going off campus and you’re bound to turn heads.

Although this Fashionista caught my attention with her hat, I especially loved how she was able to pair such varying textures and fabrics in one outfit. The fringe material, the black pants, plain orange top and gray booties. Despite giving off completely different visuals, she was able to mix them all and make it work. For me, that was the standout element of her outfit!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Whether you’re attending a lunch date, dressing for success, chatting at a party, running errands on the weekend or strolling the city streets in the sun, don’t be afraid to step out of your fashion boundaries. Remember: buy less, choose well and do it yourself!”
