STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Rockin’ Rain Boots

Summers in Ohio bring the most unpredictable three months you could ever imagine. One day it can be sunny and 85 degrees, and the next day, it’s practically ready to snow. It’s like all four seasons tied into three months, and one thing is for sure, you can always count on it to rain a few times each week. So what better way to embrace a rainy day than by sporting some stylish rain boots?

The Hunter Boot has become quite the staple in many wardrobes these past couple of years. They are durable, comfortable and come in a variety of colors and styles. This Fashionista is wearing the original, adjustable rain boots in black. This specific pair is outstanding and my personal favorite because the adjustable strap located on the back of the boots accommodates women with larger calves. Also, you can never go wrong with choosing the color black because it goes with anything and everything.

Another great thing about the Hunter Boot is that it does not have to be a rainy day for you to wear them. Rain or shine, you can still show them off! These boots are great for college students because you never know when it’s going to rain while you’re walking around campus. And let me tell you from past experiences, walking through puddles on campus with sandals on is not fun!

To spice up her outfit, this Fashionista decided to wear a graphic tank top purchased at H&M with a faded denim look-alike jacket from Forever 21. She also paired these two pieces with black leggings for extra comfort and some fun necklaces! It’s a perfect outfit for any day, whether you’re off to summer class, lunch with a friend or your local grocery store. Just because it’s a gloomy day doesn’t mean your outfit has to be! This Fashionista does a fabulous job of incorporating her own unique style to match her rain boots.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t be afraid to still look cute even though it’s raining! You can still wear cute leggings and blouses with a jacket or sweater to match along with rain boots. You don’t always have to look as down as the weather is making you feel!”
