STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Ready, Set, Road Trip!

School is out for the summer and with August settling in it won’t be long before we’re all left singing “Summertime Sadness.” Yes, you’re probably working that summer job or two and interning at another company, but let’s be honest, this is the one time to get away and take a road trip.

Road trips can be a party in themselves. Riding with the windows down, singing at the top of your lungs and binge eating your favorite snacks is all fun and games. That is until you’re two hours into the ride and uncomfortable because of the outfit you chose.

In the hot summer sun I think the biggest favor you can do for yourself is to wear loose clothing. Tunic styled tank tops are usually lightweight, comfortable and effortless. They give your skin a little room to breathe and are ready-to-wear with almost any type of shorts, skirts or pants. This Fashionista styled her tunic with white frayed shorts and brown Rainbow flip flops. Her tunic was fitting as it brought in a bohemian and beachy vibe to her look, making it perfect for a road trip. Since that style of top is nice and breezy it allows Fashionista’s to wear darker colors that tend to attract the sun. By pairing the solid black tunic with her white American Eagle Outfitters shorts she kept her look classic and transitional, while also having a great balance of being dolled up and comfortable. The Fashionista’s jewelry emphasized her free spirit and boho vibe with a small, gold hoop nose ring and turquoise stone necklace.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Always be super comfortable especially if you’re traveling. If you don’t have time to change then make sure it’s cute! So be cute and comfortable.”
