STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Naked

What’s better than a sheer top? A sheer floor length blush dress better known as the “naked dress.” The naked dress has been a fashion statement for many years. Dating back to the 1960s where one may have seen Marilyn Monroe sporting this enticing dress. When done in a tasteful manner, the “naked dress” upholds a form of unresisting class and charm. Two that definitely fall under the tasteful category would be Rosie Huntington- Whiteley when she wore a gorgeous black lingerie-like naked Atelier Versace dress and Kim Kardashian-West in a white and feather detailed piece at the 2015 Met Gala.

This Fashionista absolutely killed the “naked dress” game ,but what makes her look even better is the fact that she made it her own. She added the embroidered flowered patches herself, which add to the elegance and whimsical feel of her look. The white flowers contrast beautifully against the blush color. I love the whole color scheme of this Fashionista’s ensemble.

While it is hard to go completely bare when you are not an A list star, this Fashionista paired her naked dress with a fanciful lace trimmed beige leotard. She kept it simple yet detailed for the leotard that I thought was an amazing idea since it is being shown under her dress! The Fashionista then topped off her pastel look with a bold white and black pair of cat eye sunglasses.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Take trends and make them your own. Mess around with different patches and fabrics you admire to create something beautifully unique.”
