STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Maxi Never Fails!

Let’s face it, the worst part of the end of the summer has nothing to do with going back to school. It is coming to the realization that we can’t wear our shorts and tank tops anymore. Colder months causes us to bundle up, and if you’re like me it’s not an easy transition, although August gives us more time to prepare since the weather is pretty random. This week’s post will focus on how to transition from summer to fall with some help from our maxi dresses.

Fashionistas, don’t put away your maxi dresses just yet. Maxi dresses are convenient across summer, spring and fall because of how light the material is. It also flows rather than clings to your body and can give you the perfect amount of coverage regardless of the current temperature. You may also decide to pair your dress with a light jacket just in case you experience 60 degree days. It’s pretty rare in August, but anything is possible in New England.

This week’s Fashionista was excited to show off her black maxi dress. Although it was rainy and muggy she was able to pull off a look that kept her looking vibrant. She chose to pair her maxi with a distressed denim jacket that kept her warm while giving her an edgy look. She further jazzed up her look by adding a unique necklace and two stone bracelets. I couldn’t have put together a better look!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Sometimes you’re going to get rained on, but it’s up to you to make sure you’re dressed comfortably when it does happen.”
