Fall has come to Indiana will full force. This usually means people break out the bulky coats and the massive sweaters. What if you want to stay looking stylish without completely drowning yourself in a jacket just yet? Is it possible to stay warm in the fall while also looking cute? The answer is yes, if you invest in a vest. Fall is the perfect season for them because it is not too cold yet.

This Fashionista is pairing her navy vest with a pale pink shirt. The two colors contrast, which is made apparent by her sleeves sticking out from under the vest. The dark wash jeans and dark brown booties couple the vest well by keeping the dark shades apparent. The cuff of the jeans work well with the booties because it breaks up her legs and makes her legs look much longer than if she just crumpled up the leftover jean.

The back of the shirt is a major aspect of this outfit, as well. When she is wearing the vest, people just see it as a cute, simple, school day outfit. When the vest comes off, the little cutouts in the back standout, making the outfit a little more revealing. This is what makes the outfit more fun than an average outfit. The long choker also adds to this fun and unique outfit. The layering of the black choker at the top plays to the edgy vibe that the cutoff back does too. The long strings with the gold feather make the outfit more playful. This mixture of the everyday, fall, school outfit with the fun aspect of what is hidden under the vest, is what makes the outfit so unique.

Vest’s are a necessary investment for most college students. A vest is multi-functional and can be worn with so many different outfits. I personally own a black one and green one. The green one is a little fancier so it is only for going out outfits. While the black one is causal and can be worn over almost every sweater. Vest’s can be dressed up, dressed down, worn out or just worn over a sweatshirt. This is the main reason why vests are a needed investment for college.
