STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: I’m Dreaming of a White Summer

With this summer’s cooler temperatures, jeans have become an essential piece this season. This can be disappointing because we wear jeans all year long, so the summer is a great vacation from them as we embrace dresses, skirts and shorts. Since we are forced to wear jeans, why not spice it up and wear a denim trend that is only acceptable this time of year? This trend I’m referring to is white jeans, and it’s quickly become a favorite amongst celebrities and fashion icons.

White jeans are perfect for this time of year because the white hue brightens up your whole outfit. Colorful tops appear more vibrant, neutrals like gray and black don’t look so dull and your skin appears tanner. What’s not to love about them? They also appear dressier than normal jeans, so they’re perfect if you’re attending a nice brunch or spending the day shopping with some friends. Since white essentially goes with everything, you have many options when it comes to deciding what to wear with them. If you want to play it safe, you can pair them with a colorful top. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for an all-white look by pairing them with a white top and shoes.

This Fashionista looks great as she pairs her white jeans with a chambray shirt and sandals. The relaxed feel of her outfit is perfect as she spends the day out and about on the town. She adds a dressy element to the outfit by layering gold necklaces and adding a jeweled bracelet. Lastly, her look is completed with an adorable fringe bag in gray, which complements the lighter tones of her shirt and jeans perfectly. This Fashionista has an awesome daytime look, and it appears much more summery than if she would have opted for blue jeans.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Although you might think white jeans are only for daytime, I love wearing mine at all times of the day. Lighter colors like pastels and neutrals with white jeans makes for a great daytime look, and to transition the jeans to nighttime, add a bright colored shirt like royal blue or red.”
