STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Go With The Flow!

Sometimes it can be extremely hard to find the motivation to put together an outfit that’s both cute and feminine, but also comfortable. More often than not I find myself settling for my typical workout clothes, even when a workout may not be in my schedule, because I value comfort over anything else. Today, I immediately regretted that decision when I saw this Fashionista on my way to class. She looked no less comfortable than I was, while about 100 times more fashionable!

The summer is my favorite season to whip out all my old sundresses and skirts, mostly because they never go out of style and because of how easy it is to just throw them on. There are so many different types, variations, colors and ways to style them! But, more importantly they are extremely comfortable for the hot summers here in Florida. Maxi skirts are especially appropriate because they aren’t heavy against your skin so they keep you cool and comfortable. I love the way this Fashionista pairs her maxi skirt with a simple graphic tank top. You would never think to pair these two pieces together, but they work together perfectly to create a great summer outfit.

While this may have been unintentional, I love how many colors and patterns are worked into this outfit. From the bright blue umbrella to the unique geometric print maxi skirt, this Fashionista’s outfit definitely shined through and stood out, even on this rainy day.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I think that when dressing up in the summer, it’s all about being comfortable without showing too much skin. I like to pair tank tops with long skirts, or shorts with longer sleeved shirts.”
