STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fur-vently Waiting for Spring

Brace yourselves, spring is coming. Don’t worry though, this Fashionista has found the right combination to transition from the cold wintry weather to the cool, sunny and unpredictable weather of spring. This Fashionista has stylishly paired a patterned blue and white tank with black jeans, an infinity scarf, ankle boots and a fuzzy sweater. I really like her style because she keeps it simple while using the patterned shirt as a statement piece. This outfit is comfortable and weather versatile.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, spring takes awhile to get going. By that I mean it tends to stay a bit chilly until May, then it starts to warm up. The furry sweater adds a winter weather touch to the outfit while letting the spring-themed tank show through as we are transitioning seasons. If the sun comes out she can strip off her sweater and scarf and warm her arms in the sunshine. If the wind picks up or it starts to rain, she can put on her sweater and cover her head, using the infinity scarf as a hood.

Ankle boots are also another trend I have noticed during the past year. This functional piece works well in all seasons and looks particularly good with cuffed jeans. If you are wanting to maximize comfort, these jeans could easily be exchanged with black leggings.

Furry vests have been a major fashion trend this past fall and winter which is why I liked this Fashionista’s outfit. However, the long sleeves of the sweater add the extra warmth for the cold start to spring in the Northwest.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK?  “Don’t be afraid to take risks with your outfit. If I’m wearing neutral colors, I try to have at least one part of my outfit stand out.”
