It’s always hard to create looks that are different from what everyone else on the streets is wearing. I used to love to add a cute jacket or tie a crop top over a maxi dress before I discovered kimonos. These awesome additions to an outfit are always adorable and create jealousy from admirers.
This Fashionista has the cutest kimono I have ever seen. I am currently obsessed with long dresses and long skirts, so I am obviously dying over this long kimono. The Fashionista is short, so the longer her dress is, the more length her body has. It complements her really well. She also has a cute, colorful purse to add a little pop to her outfit. Whenever you wear all-black, it is unique to add a pop of color with a purse or shoes. This Fashionista’s shoes cannot be seen in the photos, but you could wear black flats or sandals to give this look a more casual twist. The jewelry is kept minimal, which I think is perfect because the outfit is a statement itself. To top it off, this Fashionista is wearing big black sunglasses to give off an incognito look. I am completely in love!
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My main focus with kimonos is to make a statement. It is always a good idea to add a kimono to a casual outfit, like high-waisted shorts and a crop top. I also wear kimonos over my bathing suit when I go to the beach.”
