STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Classy and Cheetah-licious

Cheetah print is so in right now, blissfully bringing us back to the ‘90s; however, it’s important to make it look classy and not like you’re the star of Jersey Shore. With so many different Fashionistas sporting cheetah print, there are some occasions when it just doesn’t work. Personally, I’ve never been a big fan of animal prints, which made me a little skeptical when it came to this fashion trend; however, it can be done. If done right, cheetah print can be versatile enough to wear almost anywhere: class, running errands, shopping or even to the bar. You just want to make sure you stay looking like Lauren Conrad and avoid pulling a Snooki

Take a tip from this Fashionisto if you want to do cheetah print right. He is wearing a subtle, but fun cheetah print button-down shirt with sleek black pants and basic suede boots. The black cheetah print is a route this Fashionisto and I advise everyone to go down because it’s quiet while still offering some flair and attitude. Throwing on a black cheetah print shirt with some nice boots makes getting dressed for the bar super easy (while still looking fabulous). Going to class? Try a cheetah print belt with black jeans and a simple black top. Cheetah print should be a statement piece without taking away from the entire outfit.

You can rock a cheetah print jacket over an all black outfit and add simple accessories; however, don’t wear your cheetah print jacket with your cheetah print hat and cheetah print loafers (although they can make adorable statement pieces on their own). Remember, less is always, always more.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My advice? I would say wear what makes you happy. Don’t be afraid to wear blacks and neutrals, especially with fun patterns. But be cautious of going over the top. Lastly, layering is your friend.”
