Sometimes, less is more. For this reason, the minimalist trend is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The minimalist trend consists of muted colors and simple shapes, making getting dressed a breeze. My favorite part about this trend is that it encourages buying basics that are truly anything but basic. Recently I’ve been working on buying more basics for my wardrobe and was inspired by this minimalist Fashionista.
This Fashionista makes looking elegant easy by expertly sporting the minimalist trend. Her classic look channels Audrey Hepburn, my all-time favorite fashion icon. This Fashionista does an excellent job pairing classic pieces together in one effortlessly chic outfit.
She wears a monochromatic black skirt and top paired with nude accessories. I love how her chunky black platforms add both comfort and height. I also adore how she subtly mixes her white purse with nude sunnies. To top her look off, she implements a mixture of silver bangles with a gold, black and white bracelet, as well as a pair of silver triangle shaped earrings. This Fashionista’s look illustrates the importance of paying attention to small details when wearing the minimalist trend.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I wear color sometimes, but I always feel chic in black. It goes with everything and the perfect complement to any color! However, I can be very particular when it comes to dressing but once you become particular and find that particular top or accessory to go with your outfit—I think that says a lot about your style…that you’ve found it.”
