STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Back To Basics

If your summer vacation is anything like mine, it’s filled with last minute lunch dates, constantly changing plans with friends or traveling. As we all get into the swing of things of the summer, we do not always have time to assemble the perfect outfit to last us all day.  Instead, we grab the same pair of shorts that we have worn every summer so we can get out of the door quickly.  But that is not a problem, there are ample ways to spice up your wardrobe.

Summer fashion is notorious for being quick, easy and on the go. You want to go for an outfit that will be able to transition with ease throughout your day. The easiest pieces for people to master are the most classic. Basic staples in every wardrobe are the most versatile to put together to make a fashionable outfit.  One of my favorite pieces in any wardrobe is a denim skirt.  There is no question that this classic piece is becoming more prominent is women’s closets. Ranging from prints to basic colors, these skirts can be found in all styles making it the perfect item to pull off a variety of looks.

This Fashionista is a prime example of a comfortable and classic look that appears fashionable and effortless. She is rocking a maroon bodysuit with a crisscross back, paired with a button-down denim skirt and brown flip-flops for a more casual vibe. To style it up a bit, you could also play around with a bodysuit of different colors, patterns and materials to be more fashionable depending on the activity or event you have going on that day. Additionally, you could also mix up the accessories you wear with the skirt, pairing a choker and heels for an edgier outfit. As long as you own these basic styles of clothing, you’re all set for a quick and easy outfit while running out the door!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK?: ”When it comes to summer I say the more classic the better.  If I’m running around town shopping or hanging out with friends, I would rather be wearing something a little more timeless than something that would be super trendy.  I love classic pieces because even though they are classics you can own them and add your own personal twist.  This makes any outfit an original to me.”
