Black is such a simple color that never seems to fall out of style. Lately, in magazines, on Instagram and on the streets people have been sporting looks that are more monochromatic. A neutral outfit is something that can be worn for any occasion, accessorized to the person’s liking and always look good. Black is just one of the color choices that can be worn to create a simple, classic and stylish look.
I find myself especially following this monochromatic trend in each season. No matter what I always go back to my simple, neutral pieces of clothing. They are my go-to pieces because I know that with the right jewelry, shoes and even a hat I can transform a look perfect for day or night.
This Fashionista’s look focused on all-black. She wore a simple all black V-neck short sleeve shirt. Then added a pair of loose flowing pants with a lace-up detail. The strings were left to dangle down and included gold details. This was a subtle but rather unique and made the pants different then any I have seen before.
For accesories she wore black strapped sandals and an Alex and Ani gold bracelet. Her hair was straightened and her makeup was very natural.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Sticking to all one color allowed certain elements of my outfit to stand out and be featured more. I personally find the look of all neutral pieces in an outfit to look better than a ton of colors and prints.”
