STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Athletics

March 3rd, 2015 at 2:00am

Too be honest, it’s hard to believe that it’s already almost March. Time is flying by so fast, which is good because that means spring break is just around the corner. The weather god has been quite nice to us lately, especially since it’s still considered to be winter here in the Pacific Northwest. There have been days filled with sunshine, which makes me so excited for the spring term. I’m sure many students are looking forward to the sunshine and being able to just sit outside on the quad and lay out with friends. The weather this winter can be a little unpredictable at times because it’ll be 30 degrees in the morning, but warmer by the afternoon..

This Fashionisto keeps cool by wearing an Under Armour long sleeve T-shirt, which is perfect for this in-between weather. It’s light enough to be worn by itself, when the weather is sunny. These athletic shirts are awesome because If it does get too hot, the sleeves can easily be rolled up. Also, it can be paired with a sweater when it gets colder at night, because there is not much weight to it. He is donning the perfect athletic look, which is fitting because he is actually a trainer at the Dixon gym. His snapback and Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes add an element of sportiness to his outfit as well. I love that the band of his snapback adds a little pop of color to his outfit. Wearing a colorful hat is a great way to incorporate colors in an outfit, especially for guys. Sperry Top-Siders are known to be shoes that are donned by fraternity brothers, and are usually paired with Dockers and polos. However, he proves that Sperry Top-Siders can be paired with anything, even casual attire. I really appreciate guys who wear watches, and I think his also adds that athletic touch to his overall outfit.
