Hello, everyone! My name is Belle. I am a sophomore at the University of Iowa aspiring to major in marketing or entrepreneurial management (honestly not sure yet). BUT the point being that I want to major in something that will allow me to pursue my passion: fashion and beauty! You know those people who went on American Idol and they would talk about how they have wanted to sing their whole life? Well, that was me and fashion. I have always wanted to be involved with fashion. I am so thrilled and honored to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this semester and I can’t wait to share my personal style with all of you!
When I was younger, I always felt like what I wore would help me fit in, and even now I can see myself being pulled towards trends that are popular by demand (don’t get me wrong, I love Adidas and denim). However, I always knew deep down that I didn’t have to wear what everyone else was wearing to fit in. I just needed to make my style my own and I realized that’s what made my style unique, it was mine! That is what is so great about fashion… You can wear whatever expresses you the best and there is (almost) no way you can go wrong!
For my first look, I have on my FAVORITE leather jacket… I love jackets! This one is my statement piece so I paired it with an off-white, quarter-length sleeve. I also have a pair of brown booties (you can never go wrong with a pair of booties) to complete the look. Also, the jeans I am wearing are from Banana Republic and are SO comfortable, they feel like leggings. I would highly recommend them! You can find a similar pair here. For a day look, add a cute pair of sunglasses, my favorite style is the oversize cat-eye and the leopard print (I have four pairs in this pattern). This can also be a perfect outfit for a night out with the girls.
