7 Lazy Day Outfits To Throw On This Weekend

Lazy Day Outfits to Try

No matter how much fun I have putting together a look, there are some mornings I just want to sleep in and roll out the door in my go-to lazy day outfit: joggers, a tee, and a pair of sunnies. I want to look chic, but I’m way too jaded to take the time. Don’t want to choose between one or the other? Luckily, lazy doesn’t have to mean unpolished, and it’s easier than you think to create that effortless look with very little actual effort (I swear!). Use the styling tips ahead (and shop the looks), and no one will guess that you woke up 20 minutes ago.

The Ruffled Top Over Jeans

Relaxed jeans were meant for busy mornings—they can instantly make any outfit look cool, and they’re incredibly comfortable. Go for a pair with some personality (cuffs, tears, or dye detailing), and then add easy glam with a floral ruffled top. A simple pair of neutral high-top sneakers gets you out the door and quickly to class if you really need to run for it.

The Updated Pajama Set

People seem to want me to wear my pajamas to class, and I’m all for it. Matching sets are great because they don’t require much thought, so try a bold patterned matching short-sleeve-and-shorts combo for the spring weather. Pair with a classic pair of white tennis shoes for a casual look.

The Cozy Cardigan and Midi Dress

When I wake up still exhausted from studying all night, I automatically reach for my softest cardigan and head for my favorite coffee shop. Pair a cozy cardigan with a dress that has fun detailing—think cut-outs or fun buttons—so your look stays trendy if you shed the sweater. Add a bit of class to your lazy day outfit with a pair of black loafers.

The Midi Dress

Midi dresses are a great solution when you want to feel fancy but minis just aren’t your thing. A striped dress in a breathable linen pairs well with basic black sandals. Grab a light-colored bag and your coffee mug, and you’re on your way to class looking like you put in 40 minutes when you really put in 15.

The Updated Track Suit

To keep yourself looking put together in this athleisure-heavy ‘fit, stick to one brand and build from there. A cropped sweatshirt and metallic sneakers can even help you take this look from day to night when you’re too lazy to plan another outfit.

Those cool days still tend to sneak up on me in the spring, and when they do, I think layers. A denim dungaree dress is a great staple piece for spring and summer, and you can easily transition to cooler days by layering with a striped long sleeve. Feeling a little daring? Go for a pair of sleek flatform sneakers to finish off your outfit.

The Classic Black Jean

I think I have five pairs of black jeans, and I need every single one of them: there’s no denying the comfort and polish they provide. When you’re in a hurry, throw on your favorite black jeans and style with a trendy pair of dad sneakers. A bright jacket adds a pop of color to the look and keeps you looking effortless, not careless.
