As summertime is quickly approaching, temperatures are beginning to rise. Personally, summer is one of my favorite seasons of the year, but it is also one of the hardest times for me to find clothes that are comfortable to wear while the temperatures soar. Here are some outfit ideas to keep you cool and looking hot.
Sundresses are my ultimate go-to when it’s hot and sticky outside. Sundresses are virtually flattering on all body types and are super feminine. Spring for an on-trend floral pattern and channel your inner hippie or go for some bold, vertical stripes to make you look longer and leaner. Try a flowing, maxi length or keep it short and flirty.
Another trend that will help you keep cool this summer are off-the-shoulder tops, dresses, matching sets… you name it. This trend tends to keep things light and loose on top, which will help keep you cool. Plus, it’s super trendy so you can look fashionable while being cool and comfortable. Try to stick to fabrics like cotton and linen in light colors to help you stay even cooler. Pair your off-the-shoulder top with some denim cut-offs or try a playful matching top and skirt set!
Denim is a staple all year round but it can get heavy and hot when you try to wear it in the summer. The best way to wear denim this summer is to try out a denim skirt! Denim skirts can be more put together than denim shorts and they can keep you feeling cooler. There are many styles of denim skirts popular right now, but I would suggest finding a white denim skirt to dress up and a fun embroidered denim skirt.
And of course, the number one way to stay cool in the summer is to go swimming! I’m really loving that one piece bathing suits are back in fashion. They’re great for many body types and can give you some extra coverage when you want it. The off-the-shoulder trend has also carried over into bathing suits and it is absolutely adorable.
