How To Look Sporty (Even When You Are Super Nonathletic)

I seriously love the Olympics. Perhaps “obsessed” is a better word. I spend any and all free time I have catching a semifinal in swimming/gawking at Michael Phelps’ abs or discussing the technical merits of a gymnastics floor routine like I know anything. Heck, I’ve even recently gotten into watching fencing because I am just a Team USA superfan.

What captivates me most about the Olympics is the insane talent of the athletes. They make these truly grueling, nearly impossible physical feats look effortless. For example, Simone Biles does this triple rotation on her tippy-toes of one foot while in a squat on a four-inch wide balance beam. (Watch video of it and I swear it will make sense.) I tried to do the same move on my living room floor and couldn’t even make it into the starting position without severely injuring myself.

And while I may lack the athleticism to run a 10k let alone compete in the Olympics, it doesn’t mean I still can’t embrace the athletic spirit. Whether you are a gym rat or couch potato, check out these looks that let you look sporty (and stylish)! Fake it until you make, I suppose!
