Cool Places to Take Pictures in NYC

As a current resident of New York City, I know firsthand how picturesque it is. Luckily, I’ve got plenty of time and access to find the best places to have photoshoots, but I know it can be incredibly difficult to scope out the perfect spots if you’re on a time crunch and you’re not familiar with the area. So, I created a quick guide to everywhere you shouldn’t miss when you’re in search of picture-worthy scenes for your grid. From stunning old architecture to modern museums, these are some of the cool places to take pictures in NYC that made my most ‘grammable list.

The Museum of Modern Art

Become a part of the art at this famous modern art-filled museum in Midtown.

The Streets of SoHo

Classic #OOTD backgrounds are all over SoHo. Snap a pic here to jazz up your city looks.

The Flatiron Building

The Brooklyn Bridge

The classic walk across the Brooklyn Bridge not only provides an amazing view of lower Manhattan, but I’d consider it one of the most cool places to take pictures in NYC on my list (so don’t miss it).

Washington Square Park

Like taking a photo in Paris without the cost of a flight to France. It’s also the perfect place to have a picnic when you’re done with your shoot.

Coney Island

Add some nostalgia and color to your feed and head on down to Coney Island to snap a few pics and live your “Uptown Girls” dream.

DUMBO Waterfront

DUMBO not only has a breathtaking view of the city but also a flea market, so head on over to check it out and snap a couple pics.
