Easy Group Halloween Costumes to Steal from Your Favorite Celebs

October 28th, 2021 at 4:00pm

My TikTok feed is filled with different content creators sharing their past costumes and giving ideas for this upcoming Halloween. The problem is, every video seems to be the same. I am sick of seeing the Harley Quinn and Joker duos, the Scooby-Doo friend groups, and whatever a Space Cowboy is. If you are looking for unique group Halloween costumes that no one else is wearing this year, grab your friends and take inspiration from these ten celebrities who pulled together the best, show-stopping looks.

01. Your Favorite Girl Group

Gather your favorite ladies who you know can pull off an incomparable look. Take inspiration from your favorite band and recreate your favorite tour outfits. Whether it’s The Pussycat Dolls, The Spice Girls, or Blackpink, find items in your closet and recruit your band members this Halloween. Saweetie set the standard for this group costume with her Destiny’s Child costume last year.

02. Cave People

Achieve the ultimate vintage look by reinventing Bella Hadid and Jesse Jo Stark’s Flintstones get up. Layer on the animal prints in your closet and paint your face with dark neutral colors. This is a great plan for groups of any size, as there’s no limit to the number of people you can blast to the past with.

03. Superheros

Reminisce with your friends by dressing up as characters from your favorite childhood television shows. Copy Kylie Jenner and pick your color Power Ranger, or choose from Fantastic Four or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Give life to your younger self’s dreams, and do it fashionably…obviously.

04. Spooky Creatures

Spawn the traditional Halloween spirit and dress up as spooky creatures with your people. Style your costume in all white and hanging cloth, like Megan Thee Stallion and her girls. Dress in all black and bite into some fake fangs as vampires or pull your little black dress out of your closets and top it off with a witch hat.

05. Rock Band

Fishnets, your favorite band tee, and anything leather is all you need to form this champion costume. Take inspiration from Mariah Carey’s tribute to ‘80s rockstars, styled with a voluminous wig, dramatic make-up, and a neon guitar. Her friends matched her energy with their second-to-none costumes.

06. ’70s Hippies

It’s a good thing that flare jeans are in because you will need some to dress up as a ‘70s character this Halloween. You could look to Cher’s iconic outfits for a more formal look from this era, or pair oversized shades with feathers in your hair like Nina Dobrev did alongside her friends this year.

07. Euphoria Characters

Yes, I know the eccentric make-up look was very popular last year, inspired by “Euphoria’s” neon, glittery fashion. However, have you seen anyone recreate the character’s costumes from their very own Halloween party scripted in the show? If “Euphoria” is old news to you, look at other television shows’ Halloween episodes, such as “Friends,” “New Girl,” or “The Office.”

08. TLC

Riley Montana served us the hottest costume idea to steal on Instagram. If you need another girl gang to dress as for our favorite occasion, look no further. Grab two friends and decide if you want to be Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, or Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. Put on a performance of “No Scrubs” for your Halloween party guests and steal the award for best group costume.

09. Boy Band

You might just get a good laugh with your friends if you can accomplish this ultimate group costume. What boy band did you fan over together growing up? Whether your answer is One Direction, Jonas Brothers, B2K, or NSYNC, you better carry out one of their most recognizable looks.

10. Bachelor Contestants

This may be just the excuse you have been waiting for to pull your high school prom dress back out of your closet. Grab your friends and put on your best to give life to the most dramatic show, which can only be paired with the most dramatic costume.

After the limits of social gatherings last Halloween, I hope you are taking advantage of the most extravagant parties this October, or at least meeting with your friends to carve pumpkins…and take pictures together for Instagram.
