BEAUTY BAR: Vampy Days Are Here Again

Up until three years ago, I was not the biggest fan of makeup and beauty products because I was scared of them. I did not know how to use beauty products in a way that enhanced my natural features and it was a little overwhelming. Thanks to many hours of YouTube tutorials and makeup remover wipes, I have grown to love beauty trends such as bold lips and highlighting. My highlight routine would rival even Jennifer Lopez’s glow. Clearly, I’ve evolved into a beauty addict.

Typically, summer is a time in which makeup is more natural. I love a natural look especially for the warmer days, because it looks fresh and cute while still being low maintenance. However, I love seeing people wear makeup that makes them confident and happy regardless of seasonal trends. This spunky Fashionista caught my eye with her dark lip and beautiful lashes in all the right ways.

This Fashionista stepped outside the box and went for a vampy look during the day. I love the kind of Fashionista/o who is confident to pull off such a look. Her merlot lip color is the main focus of her makeup look. Her eye makeup is truly eye-catching, because she used liquid eyeliner and voluminous lashes to enhance them. If you are going for a bolder look, focus on one thing to make bold. For example, you can follow this Fashionista’s lead and stick to a neutral eye and dark lip, or you can make your eyes the star of the show and keep the lips neutral. This is to keep your face from looking harsh and over the top.

She paired her stunning makeup look with a cute floral dress, a leather jacket which she customized with her own pins and a pair of floral Dr. Martens. She added a choker necklace and bandana as accessories. This Fashionista is ready for all of the adventures that summer has in store for her!

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To get this look, use a tinted moisturizer as a base because it contains SPF, which is a necessity to protect your skin in the summertime. Then, find a bold lipstick that you feel like you can rock with confidence. It does not have to be a dark merlot color. For instance, it can be a hot pink, orange or red. Just any color that has some pizzaz to it. Finish the makeup look with black liquid eyeliner and your favorite lengthening mascara.
