BEAUTY BAR: Mermaid Hair

August 27th, 2015 at 2:00am

A new hair trend that is sweeping the runway shows as well as on the streets is rainbow colored hair. It exemplifies youth, experimentation and edginess. This Fashionista is showing off her new colored hair, while also styling it with an adorable outfit that is perfect for anyone to rock on their own.

This Fashionista is looking fabulous while also staying a bit warm as it cooled down compared to the blistering heat. She is wearing short jean shorts with an orange silky tank top, prefect with the cotton cardigan that lays on her shoulders. She also paired the look with a little bit of sparkle. This Fashionista is wearing a pair of sparkly sandals with braiding detail. She also pairs the look with a colorful gemmed necklace. This necklace is perfect with this outfit because it has many different colors within the sparkles and matches all the different colors in her top as well as her hair.

This Fashionista is rocking the colored hair streaks as the summer dies down; this is perfect for back to school because it is different and will add interest to your style this fall. A way to achieve this look on your own is to bleach different sections if your hair to an almost white hue. By doing this, it allows your hair to have a good base for the color because it will be more vibrant rather than having a dark base which will make the color look even darker and duller. If your hair is already bleach blonde, you may not need to worry about this step. Then, whether you get colored die or chalk, you can apply the color or colors you prefer. Then wrap tinfoil around small sections to let the color absorb. You can also get this look at your local or regular salon if you want to get it professionally done. But it is easy to achieve at home, if you are doing it safely and with the right materials.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: Materials needed to achieve this look is bleach for hair, hair color or hair chalk and tin foil to add to your hair after you apply the color so it absorbs all the color.
