BEAUTY BAR: Heat Proof Makeup

August 4th, 2015 at 2:00am

Summertime makeup can be hard to handle. Between the constant sweating and the sun’s harmful UV rays, it’s hard to find the perfect makeup routine to help protect your skin and keep you looking flawless all day. Fear not, because there are many products targeted for this exact problem. Heatproof makeup can be easy with these following steps.

You’ll want to start your perfect summer makeup look off with a primer. Primer will help your makeup last throughout the day. Next try out a tinted moisturizer; it will feel light on your skin and it is full of vitamins and even SPF to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Then apply a light reflecting concealer to help lift the shadow areas on your face. Finish off your facial canvas with a concealing powder. Lightly dust the powder to help set in the concealer. For the rest of your face, start with an eyebrow gel. The gel will add definition to your brows as well as hold them in place throughout the day. Of course, I’m going to suggest a water proof mascara to keep your lashes looking fabulous. Finally, end the look with a long-lasting lip color stain. It will add a little color to your lips and even a moisturizer. The biggest key to summer makeup is thin layers. No need to cake on your face products. Pick a look that looks natural and effortless.

This Fashionista perfectly displayed the natural, heatproof makeup look. She even paired it with an effortless, cute outfit. She chose an oversized babydoll dress. Oversized dresses are perfect for the summer heat because they don’t suffocate your body and they allow for some air flow. She added a straw fedora hat to keep the sun’s rays out of her eyes and off of her perfect heatproof makeup. She completed the effortless look with a pair of chic black flip flops. Now this Fashionista is ready for the hot summer walks with her dog!

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? There are many brands of makeup out there; however, here is what the featured Fashionista recommends: primer, tinted moisturizer, reflecting concealer, concealing powder, eyebrow gel, mascara and lip stain. Before purchasing new makeup, ALWAYS test it out in the store first to ensure you get the perfect shade for your skin!
