BEAUTY BAR: Bun-Ethical

As every Fashionista knows, your outfit is your main priority, but what’s an awesome outfit without hair and makeup to match? Every girl has that one friend that is a true artist when it comes to eyeshadow and contouring. Everyone also has that friend that looks at her final outcome and asks, “What did I just do?” And if you’re like me, you are without a doubt the second type of friend. Luckily, this Fashionista is one that knows exactly what she’s doing! After speaking with her, I learned she had recently graduated from the Parisian Beauty Academy, which explains why her face and hair put my uneven eyeliner and messy ponytail to shame.

It’s getting to be towards the end of June and the summer heat is on full blast. Even though I love to let my luscious blonde locks fly free in the wind, sometimes the sun just doesn’t agree. That’s why more than often I rely on a bun, just like this Fashionista. A bun like this one makes it easy to stay cool while still looking put together.

When it comes to makeup, I just don’t have the patience. But sometimes you just have those days where you look in the mirror and think, “Wow I should do something about my face.” So when those days do happen, you need to be prepared. You definitely don’t have to go full glam like this Fashionista; we all know some mascara and bright lips can go a long way.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To create this look, you’ll need your favorite eyeshadow palette. Hers happens to be Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette. It runs about $54, which could be a little pricey if you’re ballin’ on a college budget, but the quality makes it completely worth it. You’ll need some liquid eyeliner for the top lid and pencil eyeliner for the bottom. To go full glam, use fake lashes (which don’t have to be expensive—she got these from a drugstore) and mascara for finishing touches.
