As If You Needed Another Reason to Wear Black…

There’s nothing more important when it comes to fashion than tradition. Labels like Louis Vuitton and Lanvin date back to the 1800s and in many ways have stayed true to the traditions of their original founders.

The same custom goes to the connection between fashion and the color black. Coco Chanel once said that “black has it all;” and if she said it, then it has to be true.

The reason that black has time and time again beat out other colors is that it means something different for everyone. One might wear black for it’s magical slimming powers; another person may pick it for its ability to somehow go with literally everything. Maybe it coincides with their mood or serves as a blank canvas. No matter the reason, black is the ultimate fashion-girl go-to and that will probably (hopefully) never change. There’s a time for color and excitement in a wardrobe. But in the end, black is always there to fall back on.

So the next time you’re deciding between a color or black, think back to these Fashionistas and their always insightful words of wisdom.
