AROUND TOWN: Tracie Pfrogner

This week I’m bringing you a Fashionista with an amazing everyday style and an even better blog. Her fire for fashion comes from her desire to show off her individualistic personality and to help others do the same. Keep reading to find out more about this up and coming blogger!

Name: Tracie Pfrogner

Role: Fashion Merchandising Student

CollegeFashionista: What inspired you to start your own blog?

Tracie Pfrogner: Street style has always been my favorite part of the fashion industry, and the more fashion bloggers I discovered, the more I thought “I can totally do that too!” Plus I feel like fashion blogging has become sort of inaccessible to the common every day person. Bloggers will wear these magnificent expensive outfits in their posts but they would never wear those outfits in real life. I wanted my blog to be a realistic representation of how I dress, so that’s what I aim to do with every post.

CF: Who is your favorite blogger? What would you ask her if you could meet her?

TP: Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What! I am constantly stalking her Instagram! I think if I could meet her I would ask her what her style mantra is and where she gets her fashion inspiration.

CF: What is your absolute dream job?

TP: I would love to be a stylist. One of my favorite TV shows is What Not to Wear with Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, and I think that if I could help the average person not only dress better but feel better about themselves that would be awesome.

CF: How do you think fashion has affected your life?

TP: Fashion has completely changed my life and who I am as a person. As a child I went to a private school where I had to wear a uniform everyday and my goal was to just blend in with everyone else. I always wanted to dress like and be like the “cool kids” until I got to high school, then it was bye bye uniform and hello personal style! Through fashion I found a way to express myself without having to say a single word – and that’s my favorite thing about fashion. People don’t realize that every day when we get up and choose what to wear we are making a choice that has the power to not only define us, but to enhance us.
