ALL IN THE DETAILS: Sleepless In Segovia

If you’re reading this then that means you’ve made it to the other side of 2015. You’ve made it to summer, and whether you’re about to hop on a plane or spend it working, just go ahead and take a breath because now you’re here! Now you and I can let our pretty little spirits fly free. Seven hours and 1300 miles later, I’ve found myself in complete awe over Spanish street fashion.

I’m constantly picking up my jaw and resisting the urge to walk right up to people and tell them just exactly how “poppin’” they really are. However, I couldn’t let this Fashionista in particular pass me by. Simple and versatile, (a technique they won’t teach you in Practical Life 101) she wears a mixed-print sundress with T-strap sandals. She tops it off with a new trendy at-home hairdo. Parting half her hair to be put up in a messy bun, leaving the rest to hang free. We are looking at the revamped “business in the front, party in the back” mullet. A ‘do styled nice like this almost makes me want to consider growing my hair back just so I can rock one too.

The style is so simple, but the statement is oh so defining. Walking by, the pastels outside the center appear as though they’re dancing along the paint of the Spanish walls, making the captivating teal-blue in the middle jump right out. To keep this as the focus, she leaves her accessories subtle with just a pair of small earrings that accent the buttons on her dress.

How To: To make this look your own, slip on your favorite sundress, along with a similar messy bun look and top it off with a simple piece of jewelry. Dresses aren’t your thing? For two-piece simplicity, incorporate this hairstyle with a casual ensemble such as a plain tank top with a pair of printed dress shorts (high or low). I am such a fan of looking good and being comfy at the same time. With this look she is prepared for just about anything, all at the flick of the wrist!
