ALL IN THE DETAILS: P is for Purse

Some of my most prized possessions are my purses. Even though I have more than enough, I continue to buy them because they are indispensable. I cannot leave the house without one, because it is the most essential item for holding my wallet, purse and notepad when I am on the go. During the school year it is a great alternative to a backpack; an oversize tote is perfect for lugging your textbook and computers around campus, while still looking fashionable.

There are many different styles that any Fashionista can own: a tote, and satchel or cross-body bag that will go with any outfit. Purses are essential because of their ability to transform an outfit. A pair of jeans with a button up paired with a canvas tote is great for running errands, while switching a canvas tote for a longer cross-strap bag creates a dresser, elegant look. It is a great way to add a splash of color or pattern to any outfit.

This Fashionista opted for a sleek, black with gold hard wear cross-body bag. A perfect size for her essentials, and at the same minimizes any stress to her shoulders. To complete the ensemble she paired her purse with an oversized denim jacket over a stripped shirt and a sleek asymmetrical skirt with a pair of sneakers.

How To: Flexibility is the key here. For a more causal look add a strap to your purse for a longer silhouette. For a more classic look remove the straps and viola you have changed the look completely with minimal effort, allowing your purse to transition from day to night.
