ALL IN THE DETAILS: Hats Off to Floral Print

The hot summer months are quickly approaching, and typically the heat is hard to beat. We constantly have to worry about sweating through our clothes or if our look feels a bit too simple. In the winter, it’s easy to layer clothing and accessorize with scarves and beanies. But in the summer, the hot weather makes it more difficult to spice up a look. Many Fashionista/os tend to face the same problem: you want to keep it light but stylish at the same time. During the summer season, bold prints and funky accessories will become your best friends. It’s seriously fate. These two are crucial to making your look stand apart from the rest.

Speaking of bold prints and funky accessories, I absolutely adore how this Fashionista rocked a floral print romper along with a few different statement pieces. Her blue romper covered in beautiful flowers is daring, bright and flowy. It basically screams summer. To go along with the romper, she added a few accessories that were key to tying the entire outfit together. First, this Fashionista wore a gray floppy brimmed fedora. This fedora was the accessory that grabbed my attention immediately. Hats are amazing for the summertime. They block your face from the sun while still making your outfit look both chic and sophisticated. Who doesn’t want to block their beautiful face from the strong UV rays, am I right?  My favorite hats are round floppy ones. They are great for lying out on the beach (and overall, a definite summer essential to have in your closet).

Other accessories she had on included a silver ring, a silver geometric necklace, a yellow cross-body bag, sunglasses and a black bralette.  The jewelry kept the outfit girly and the  bag made for a nice pop of color.  Sunglasses simply complete any summer look and the bralette creates a tiny bit of sex appeal while keeping the outfit classy.  For shoes, she wore black heeled booties that added an edgy feel to such a girly look. She kept the statement pieces light so it wouldn’t be too overwhelming in the blazing hot summer temperatures. These accessories accented the printed romper just perfectly.

This Fashionista knew exactly how to make the details shine for summertime.

How To: Dress up your favorite patterned romper with a statement piece. You can’t go wrong with a fun floppy hat from a store such as NASTY GAL or Urban Outfitters. Seriously though, hats will make you look fashionable while keeping you shady all day long. What’s better than that?
