ALL IN THE DETAILS: A Summer Centerpiece

Sometimes summer can feel like fall. Chilly days even in summer are bound to happen. Even if the weather has been consecutively 90 degrees everyday, there’s a guaranteed rainy day just waiting to happen. There is not a true Fashionista that would ever let the rain stop her from her summer agenda, that’s why details on a darker day are crucial. This shows a true Fashionistas spirit, she will not compromise her style for bad weather.

This Fashionista is doing just that, tying in the summery element of a colorful dress as the pivotal governing piece of this outfit. She uses neutrals that can be found in the dress to connect her outfit. The blues in the dress are accented by the denim blue collar on top. The nude boots compliment the simple muted colors in the dress and work towards the balance of the ensemble. The green jacket also provides a solid base for the dress to flourish and catch the eye. My favorite detail of the outfit is the hour glass necklace, which also contributes to the neutral golds and nudes.

How To: Pick a centerpiece with a multitude of colors to complement the pieces you surround it with. Use that piece as your base and play with possible complimentary neutrals to make your centerpiece pop. Add accessories that also accent the colorful center look.Weather can be unpredictable and uninspiring for summer fashion. But even if the weather tries to get you down, don’t let it affect your outfit!
