STYLE GURU BIO: Antea Kareco

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.” This quote by Coco Chanel embodies how I feel about my personal style.

My name is Antea Kareco, but most people call me Teya. I am a Toxicology major and Mathematics minor at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.  I am a new Style Guru who loves all things fashion, beauty and lifestyle related.

My fashion story started when I was a young girl who loved wearing dresses. I always loved picking out fun prints that suited me. However, my true love for fashion started when Juicy Couture became all the rage back in the early 2000s. I started watching fashion shows and became exposed to more designers and  styles. Then I began experimenting with colors, patterns, accessories and a variety of other things until I found a style that suited me.

I would describe my personal style as classically chic with a hint of prep. It consists of a lot of neutral colors and basics that I often pair with accessories and shoes to make them shine. Sometimes I even throw in a pop of color with another article of clothing.  I am currently going through a phase where I have fallen in love with the color Navy. I am so excited to share new finds and fall trends with all of you this semester! I cannot wait to explore my love for new up-and-coming fall styles, as well as current classics such as riding boots, field jackets and button-down.

Whether it’s getting ready for class, going on an interview for your dream job or having a girls night out, I’ve got you set! So relax and let’s enjoy an amazing semester together! Be sure to tune in at the beginning of each  month for a new article.
