BEAUTY BAR: Smoking Hot

Wearing makeup at a beach area should be an oxymoron: it is almost impossible to keep on. Between the salty air (which I am certainly not complaining about), heat and humidity it is very difficult to keep a fresh face of makeup. After a long day of putting sunscreen on your face and then lotion later on to keep your face hydrated the last thing you want to do is put on a full face of makeup. This week’s Fashionista defies the odds and manages to pull off a full face of makeup with a stunning smoky eye that stays on all day (and night) at Long Beach Island over the weekend.

Wearing a full face of makeup at the beach and having it last is a real talent. This Fashionista thanks her lasting wear to primer and makeup setting spray. Usually over the summer, it is easiest to keep a natural look, but this Fashionista was going out for a fun night with her friends so she went with the smoky eye. For a “going out” look, smokey eyes are perfect go to’s.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? This Fashionista started off with Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer to keep her eye shadow in tact. She then used Urban Decay’s Naked palette to create the gorgeous smoky eye. She topped it off with Stila’s waterproof liquid eyeliner. Her gorgeous lashes are thanks to Covergirl’s mascara (and good genetics). For the face, she covered up problem areas with YSL’s radiant touch corrector and MAC foundation. Her glowing tan is from Bobbi Brown’s bronzer (and a little help from a day at the beach). The fresh face is topped off with Clinique pink lipgloss.
