STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Layers And Layers

This past month, Kansas has been experiencing rain, rain and more rain. The weather has not been ideal for summer; therefore Fashionistas all around have not yet been able to show off their favorite summer attire just yet. Usually by the time school is out, the sun is out as well and we can all wear our favorite sundress or lounge around in our bathing suits, but not this year!

On this particularly gloomy day, I spotted this Fashionista in an outfit one would wear in the start of fall. Her layers were perfect for a chilly day in May. The key to weather in Kansas is layering since it is constantly changing. One second it could be sunny and 70 degrees and then you blink and it will be 50 degrees and raining (or sometimes even snowing).

A few parts of this outfit that I personally love are the earth-tone colors, the green jacket because it is a great reminder that it is still spring and also the cowboy boots. When it’s rainy and wet outside you don’t want to wear flip flops and get your feet all wet, but you still want to look cute, so boots are a great option! Pairing a few bracelets and a watch with the outfit completes it without cluttering it too much.

Even though it’s the start of summer, you still can layer up and keep warm on those extra chilly days!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “When you wear a jacket try not to wear too many bracelets at the same time because your arms will look cluttered with the sleeves and all the bracelets. A few look fine, but an arm full of them can look messy.”
