STYLE GURU BIO: Valerie Gonzalez-Vega

Another semester has come and gone, and trust me, I could not be more excited to continue bringing stylish tips and amazing fashion guides with CollegeFashionista all summer long. As a refresher, my name is Valerie, and I am a senior studying Public/International Relations with a minor in Fashion Merchandising at Texas State University. I am excited for my fifth semester with CollegeFashionista! (Thanks for reading, mom!). I have primarily expressed a deeper interest in both the social media and editorial aspects of the industry and hope to someday work as a digital or social media editor for a publication like the CollegeFashionista babes.

Check out my column every Thursday for an update on some serious State style and the progress of my style evolution whilst completing my last chapter of college (hopefully). To see my daily adventures, what color I’ll be dyeing my hair next or learn some more easy DIYs, follow my #lazytangerinewrites on Instagram (@tangerinevalerie).

Want to get my look? A simple DIY is all it takes to create a unique one of a kind piece. I used a soft and delicate blouse—chiffon works well. After, it’ll take a few attempts with drawing the desired image. The possibilities are endless! Lastly, you will hoover the drawing with acrylic paint, and let it dry overnight.
