STYLE GURU BIO: Rachel Wong

Why, hello there! My name is Rachel, and I am currently a third-year journalism student at the University of Toronto. I am also a Toronto-based writer, reporter, producer and on-air radio personality. I decided to put my love for entertainment and broadcasting to use by producing and hosting a radio show on the campus radio station. My show “Made In Entertainment” is broadcasted live on http://fusionradio.ca every week. Recently, I became Fusion Radio’s program director. In addition to broadcasting, I enjoy writing as well. As an avid television and movie watcher, I am currently a writer for SpoilerTV and The Daily Fandom.

I have a huge passion for anything television, film and web. On top of my multiple positions, I am branching out and avidly seeking experience in the television, film and web series industry. I am currently a producer for Films In The Making, a production company focused mainly on short films.

Though my passion is not in fashion, I am the type of person that wants to try everything. I was never a fashion geek growing up. Even now, my fashion style is mostly comfort over style, though I do occasionally like to wear a pair of adorable heels like this pair of nude pumps from Browns as shown. I’ll take a nice pair of Nike sneakers, a flowy T-shirt and leggings any day, really.

I am extremely excited to be a Style Guru. It’s definitely a new style of writing that I have yet to experience but am ecstatic to try. I am so thankful that CollegeFashionista is giving me this amazing opportunity to let my fashion vocabulary flow.

In my spare time, you can find me reading a good mystery book while enjoying a cup of coffee on my porch.
