A pair of denim overalls, a solid color crop top and a simple pair of converse, what more could a girl ask for? All of these pieces have become staple garments in my wardrobe that create a perfect summer outfit.
Taking inspiration from the Chloé spring 2016 ready-to-wear show, I combined my three favorite looks from the line: Denim, overalls and a pop of color from accessories. In the ready-to-wear collection, the silhouettes were lose to the body and contained a minimal amount of different colors. I wanted to incorporate the same colors presented in the line to my outfit. Neutrals, denim and airy summer whites made the line unique, but forecasted the summers’ most stylish colors.
While looking at this line, I immediately thought of denim and how it is making a comeback in the fashion world. Seeing the denim in one look and overalls in another, I wanted to combine the two into an everyday casual outfit without putting a hole in my pocket. I wanted to keep my overalls the main focus so I paired it with a solid black crop top to compliment the two colors. Unlike the Chloé ready-to-wear line, I incorporated a pop of red lipstick to add some color in a different aspect other than accessories. To tie it all together, I put on my white converse sneakers and grabbed my white cross-body bag to finish the look. This outfit made a trendy line easy and affordable for any college student.
