STYLE GURU BIO: Kira Pauley

Hello Fashionistas/os! I am so excited to be back again this summer as a Style Guru! My name is Kira Pauley and I will be a Sophomore at the University of Kentucky. I am majoring in merchandising, apparel and textiles and minoring in both business and photography, so my life revolves around the fashion industry. I work at a local salon and boutique called, Voce where they carry amazing brands like rag & bone, Elizabeth and James, Diane von Furstenberg, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and many more. Recently, I got another job as a college representative for The Shine Project, which is a company that employs inner-city youth to make their jewelry and accessories by hand. This summer is all about newness to everything from new jobs to my now dirty blonde hair!

I have always been one for unique, but functional pieces. I find that my style is becoming more girly, yet still very clean. I’ve always loved vintage pieces that have a modern finish, so you can constantly see me pairing new and old styles. One of my favorite things about CollegeFashionista is seeing all of the unique styles. Everyone here is constantly inspiring me to try new things and look at style in a different way!

I recently purchased this two-piece set for spring and I am in love with it! I have always loved co-ordinating sets and have seen my fellow Fashionistas rocking them, so I thought I would give it a try. It is so comfy and casual that I can throw on a pair of sneakers or dress it up with heels or wedges. My small leather cross-body bag has many uses and I adore carrying it. To finish off my look, I added this personalized mantra necklace and lariat necklace with my signature sunglasses.

I cannot wait to see all of the new styles that come with this new season. Let’s make this summer RAD!
