WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Everyone has their own ideas on what to wear to class; whether it be sweats or a dress, each outfit choice is unique to the individual. It is now finally spring, which means people are much more capable of expressing themselves through their clothing since they no longer have to hide their outfits beneath a coat. What will all of the college students do with this new freedom? Let’s see for ourselves!

Walking around campus I have seen a lot of girls beginning to wear dresses again; a favorite look of mine! The whole outfit is just one piece, which makes it extremely easy to throw on and be out the door. It’s also a very easy piece to dress up or dress down, depending on the accessories the individual decides to style with the dress. Something that is seen often is pairing a dress with leggings, but something that is seen less often is pairing a dress with jeans. I had never thought of this pairing until I saw the adorable outfit this Fashionista was rocking!

She had on a beautiful sea foam green dress with small flowers sewn all over it as well as lace detailing. It has three pearl white buttons at the top as well as two strings hanging down to give an extra detail. Since this dress was so incredibly unique, it is difficult to find the exact dress, but any long sleeve shift dress with embroidery and lace would give a similar effect. She paired this dress with a pair of light wash jeans with large rips over each knee. By pairing the dress with these jeans, it gives the Fashionista a very casual look, perfect for attending class. To make the look even more relaxed, she adds a pair of Jack Rogers sandals.

For jewelry, this Fashionista hopped on a trend that is coming back from the ’90s: the tattoo choker necklace. This is a fashion statement that is becoming popular once again. In this look, not only does this individual decide to add a tattoo choker necklace to her look, but also a tattoo choker bracelet. The addition of this jewelry along with the multiple pierced ears gives this girly outfit a grunge twist.

One Simple Change: For a hot summer day, switch out the ripped jeans for white denim shorts. Tuck the front of the dress in and add a belt for a relaxed Hamptons-inspired look. Keep the sandals and sunglasses. Mix it up with some delicate gold jewelry or a Mala necklace.
