WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

This Fashionista is ready for a day at brunch in the hot Los Angeles sun. Brunch is always a laid back occasion, and it does not require a lot of effort to look good for brunch. From a pair of classic denim jeans to a flowy, embroidered dress, there is no right or wrong way to dress for brunch.

If you are catching rays in the California sun, you can never go wrong with a classic denim skirt. The denim skirt trend is rising again along with the high-waisted mom jean fit trend. The high-waisted denim skirt adds a touch of the โ€™90s in the best way.

Another trend this Fashionista rocks is the lace-up shirt. The lace-up shirt can be a little risquรฉ, yet it can be very conservative as well. Loosen up the strings to show off a little more skin, or tighten up the strings to cover up. The lace-up shirt adds some flare to a simple look that can potentially be classified as dull and boring.

Cutout boots are a must-have. Though my love for sneakers will never die, my passion for boots lives on strongly. Booties with a heel can complete an outfit and turn it around. A pointed toe is a great to add edge to any look. This Fashionista rocks the perfect mixture of the cutout and pointed toe bootie. They give her look some pizazz and sheโ€™s ready to walk her way to brunch in style.

One Simple Change: Do you have class after brunch? Classrooms can get chilly, and sitting in your chair while wearing a mini skirt can be uncomfortable. Try switching out the mini skirt for a pair of loose trousers or classic black ripped skinny jeans. The look goes from girly and fun to edgy and chic. Plus, youโ€™ll be comfortable for class and ready to take notes.
