STYLE GURU STYLE: Rebel Child

I began breaking out my spring style earlier after watching the Versace spring 2016 ready-to-wear fashion show. The looks displayed in the show represented earthy, subtle everyday where outfits. The outfits modeled in the show went for an edgy yet casual look. There were hints of a somewhat bohemian theme through the flowy nature of many of the dresses. All in all, the show was very versatile featuring fierce outfits that represented strength in femininity. The print game of the dresses were what stood out the most. Ranging from subtle colors like tan and black to bright greens and reds, the looks were memorable due to the different patterns of the dresses. Overall, the show was inspiring through the rebellious styles that sparked the runway.

With the show’s inspiration, I decided to adjust my look to a more edgy, bohemian style. The dress that I wore, demonstrates the show’s edgy, yet girly look. The eccentric pattern of the dress fits the general eloquent yet rebellious theme of the show. The most memorable looks from the show focused on the patterns, which is why I chose this floral yet rebellious print. Print is an important factor in developing one’s style. It can make or break the theme of one’s look. The boots I paired the dress with fit a biker-inspired twist to the flowy free spirit style. I also accessorized my take on the show with some bangles, giving my outfit a bit more flare.
