STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Beanies for the Win

The holiday season has come and gone and it’s time to reign in the New Year! We’ve stuffed our bellies and basked in our pajamas for hours on end. Now it’s time to gather our attentiveness and gear up for the term ahead. Winter term has arrived and has come with its crisp frozen air, gray gloomy skies and and abundance of frantic students scurrying to stay warm.

Winter term rolls around and students are sluggish, tired and ready to see the sun again by March. Undoubtedly, the weather has a great affect on our moods and our studies, so what better a way to accept the cold and colors of the winter skies than to sport it in a trendy way? Living in Oregon means dressing for the weather and doing all you can to stay warm without getting lost in an abundance of puffy coats and insulated layers.

A neutral sweater is a staple piece in the closet of an Oregonian and is perfect for any occasion. Jeggings are, of course, a go-to item for comfort and style in one. They’ve got an added bonus to their chic appearance because of their flexibility for sitting in class comfortably and perfect stretch for biking to the next. To top off this look, this Fashionista finished her ensemble with a winter weather beanie that pulls this entire look together while keeping her snug and warm. I have to agree with this Fashionista. Adding a knitted beanie this winter is the best way to put the cherry on top of the cake (if you will). Plus, there’s no better way to conquer those bad hair days that winter provides while accomplishing a spunky yet polished look.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I love warm beanies. They keep me warm and are super stylish. I definitely recommend Krochet Kids. Their hats are super cute and they’re a nonprofit organization!”
