3 Tips To Reach Your #FitnessGoals This Summer

Now that it is summertime and I can focus on things other than assignments, readings, labs and other college life responsibilities, I have decided to focus on my physical health. It takes hard work and dedication to reach the target. Sometimes, it is challenging and lonely, but you are never alone! Here are some tips to reach your fitness goals this summer!

1. Drink Water

I know that drinking water sounds cliché, but drinking at least 64 ounces of water is so important for your overall health. Some advantages of drinking water include: clearer skin, improved mood, decreased tiredness, and many other benefits. To make sure I drink my water, I put it into a cute reusable stainless steel water bottle. Stainless steel water bottles come in all shapes, sizes, and patterns to make any outfit pop.

2. Use a pedometer

Using a pedometer helps you track the steps you have taken during the day. Personally, I use Fitbit Flex to track my steps, calories, exercise, and active minutes. This helps me realize how active am I for the day and what I should fuel my body with. I like the Fitbit products because the pedometer syncs with their Fitbit iPhone app and lets you know when you have hit your step goal for the day. Also, Fitbit offers many different types of accessories to coordinate your Fitbit with any outfit!

3. Use a calorie-tracking app

A calorie-tracking app helps you track your calories so you can balance your calories consumed and calories burned. I use MyFitnessPal to track my calories. MyFitnessPal is free to use and allows you to track your calories, exercise, water consumption, weight, and steps from your pedometer. Also, it allows you to share your fitness journey and encourage your friends to reach their goals.
